D. Conclusion

Is God real today?  He sure is!  He wants to have a personal relationship with you.  He makes available to you the same power that was available to Jesus when he was on our planet.  You have a choice to make.  Will you let Him in and have fellowship with Him?  He is standing at the doors of your heart and wants your friendship: Rev 3:20 “Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”  NIV  Will you let Him in? Or do you prefer to hang on to your church tradition?  Your church will not save you.  (1 Peter 1:18-19 “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” NIV) Only Jesus can!  Will you let Him in?

Once you have fellowship with Him, you will be able to say like John:

1 John 1:3 “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us.  And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.”  NIV

P.S. A great book to help you start having a close relationship with God is: Henry T. Blackaby & Claude V. King, Experiencing God, Nashville,TN: Lifeway Press, 1990. ISBN 0-8054-9954-7 (I recommend the workbook as it gives you some practical exercises which will help you start experiencing God in your life).

Why don’t you answer the Savior’s call and put Jesus first in your life?
